She's worked in the health service for 20 years, trained as a nurse and a health visitor. Scarlet now works in public health and lives on the West Coast of Scotland with her fiance and their two sons. Writing medical romances and contemporary romances is a dream come true for her. Then it asked what Carol did for relaxation and she put down the truth - writing. The third question asked for her hobbies. Well, not wanting to look obsessed she crossed the fingers on her hand and answered swimming but, given that the chlorine in the pool does terrible things to her highlights - I'm sure you can guess the real answer. With a background of working in medical laboratories and a love of the romance genre it's no surprise that Sue Mackay writes medical romance stories.
She wrote her first story at age eight and hasn't stopped since. She lives in New Zealand's Marlborough Sounds where she indulges her passions for cycling, walking and kayaking. When she isn't writing she also loves cooking and entertaining guests with sumptuous meals that include locally caught fish. Susan Carlisle's love affair with books began when she made a bad grade in math. Not allowed to watch TV until the grade had improved, she filled her time with books.
Turning her love of reading into a love for writing romance, she pens hot medicals. She loves castles, traveling, afternoon tea, reads voraciously and hearing from her readers.
